We work closely with the team at local hospices not least because we are often serving the same families. When someone has been given a life-limiting diagnosis, it’s not uncommon for them to come to visit us to support their family in making decisions about their funeral and how they will say goodbye.
We have the privilege of frequently hearing stories about the great care received at hospices including the Heart of Kent Hospice and Hospice in the Weald, but we know there is a lot of misinformation or mystery about hospices, not helped by our culture’s reluctance to think about such things.
This article paints a vibrant picture of the joy and energy that exists in hospice life and the dedication of staff to give patients and their families the very best care possible. Have a look, and share if you can.
