Jo Williamson

Owner and Director

Jo lives with her husband Tim and their two dogs Lenny and Mabel in Cranbrook.

Jo puts her all into everything she does and works hard to ensure that each family served at Albany Funerals receives the best welcome and dedicated service of her team.

Before she launched Albany Funerals, Jo worked for four years for the United Nations in Rome and three years for PwC in London. Jo loves travelling and speaks French and Italian.

Matthew Highsted

General Manager and Funeral Director

Matthew lives with his wife Angela In Maidstone. They have six grown up children between them. He has been a funeral director for over twenty years.

He directs most of our funerals and his care and support for the families and his attention to detail are second to none.

He is also our general manager and is loved by all.

Angela Highsted

Funeral Advisor

Angela is Matthew’s wife and they live together in Maidstone. She has two grown up daughters.Angela is always so kind to her family, friends and colleagues and extends the same warmth to the families she works with at Albany. She will always gives so much of herself to ensure that not only the funeral is perfect, but also that all those involved have been given as much TLC as they need.Angela enjoys gardening and tea shops.

Clare Bushell

Funeral Advisor

Clare lives with her partner of over 20 years and her dog Luna, she has 2 grown up sons.

She is very passionate about caring for people and supporting bereaved families through the process of arranging funerals. She is easy going and always happy to listen and will make time for people.

In her spare time Clare enjoys spending time with her family and pottering in the garden, a bit of line dancing thrown in and Pilates with friends.

Luna sometimes accompanies Clare to the office and is available for cuddles if desired!

Steve Bartlett

Mortuary Team Leader and Funeral Director

Steve fell into this industry during the pandemic and he hasn’t looked back since. He lives in Faversham with his wife, their two teenagers and two adorable fluffy cats. They both proudly devote a lot of their time to supporting the amazing football skills of both of their kids on and off the pitch.

At work, Steve is fast becoming a key member of the team in spite of the short time he’s been with us.
